The Bar Council of India (BCI) has invited tenders for the conduct of the AIBE 2025. In its tender document, the Bar Council of India has mentioned that it will conduct the AIBE 20 exam in 50 cities at over 150 centres or more. Furthermore, BCI also stressed that the AIBE XX (20) exam will be conducted in both offline and online (computer-based test) modes. The last date to fill the AIBE tender is July 17, 2025, which means that the AIBE 20 exam notification 2025 can be expected in August 2025. While the tender does not have any specific dates for the exam or registration, it kicks off the AIBE 20 (XX) 2025 process, indicating that the exam notification may come as soon as the conducting agency is finalised. Additionally, the tender document gives important details such as the number of exam centres, mode of conduct and languages.
According to the BCI notification inviting tenders for AIBE 20, the All India Bar Examination will be conducted at around 50 cities and more than 150 exam centres. The list of AIBE exam centres might also be increased depending on the number of candidates. The Bar Council of India expects the number of AIBE 20 students to be between 50,000 and 2,50,000. According to BCI, the average number of candidates per centre can range from 500 to 1000. Apart from English, the exam will also be conducted in Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Nepali, Oriya, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Bodo, Santhali, Maithili and Dogri.

Careers360 had contacted the BCI Helpdesk for some clarity on the AIBE XX notification release date. The AIBE Helpdesk specified that the exam notification can be expected either in August or September. Also, the AIBE 20 exam will be conducted in December 2025, according to BCI. Given that the AIBE 20 tender process is underway, it is expected that the schedule of AIBE XX 2025 will be on the same lines.
