After the CLAT 2025 merit list is released, the counselling process begins. Candidates shortlisted for counselling through the merit list will be able to exercise the procedure mentioned below:
Candidates can either select the ‘freeze’ or ‘float’ option to get a seat at any NLU.
The Freeze option is used to confirm the allotted seats. However, candidates who are allocated seats lower than their preferred choices can select the Float option to secure a seat at a higher-preference NLU.
Aspirants who selected the freeze and float options need to pay a confirmation fee of Rs 20,000 to confirm a seat in the university.
After paying the confirmation fee, candidates must pay the balance university fee and complete other admission formalities.
