The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) have completed three rounds of counselling. Unlike previous years when the consortium conducted the counselling in five rounds, this time it wrapped up the process in just three rounds. After three rounds of admission, some vacancies in NLUs usually arise due to the withdrawal of admission or the failure of some candidates to meet admission criteria. The NLUs have now started releasing admission notifications for vacant seats. The Consortium of NLUs has also released a notification for CLAT vacant seats.
HPNLU Shimla, for example, has listed 35 vacancies in 5-year LLB courses, whereas MNLU Nagpur has 50 vacancies. These CLAT vacant seats are yet to be listed on the consortium’s website. More NLUs are expected to release the vacant seat notifications in the coming days.
NLU Shimla has invited expressions of interest from CLAT students. The university has BA LLB and BBA LLB courses. Eligible and interested candidates can register at the university website by July 05. The criteria for admission are CLAT merit rank. Here are some other details;
Application fee: Rs. 2,000/- (Rupees two thousand only), non-refundable and non-adjustable with the admission fee.
The vacant seats are available in different categories such as UR, SC, ST, HP-GC, PwD and WSRD.

MMNLU Nagpur has also invited applications from interested students to fill 5-year LLB seats under various categories. Despite three rounds of counselling, the university has 50 seats left vacant. The detailed seat matrix is given below.

The MNLU admission registration form is available on its official website. The registration fee is Rs. 1000 for general/OBC candidates and Rs. 500 for SC/ST candidates. The first provisional merit list date is June 30, the second merit list on July 03, and the third list will be released on July 06.
IIULET Goa has released a notification on CLAT 2025 vacant seats in LLB courses. The university has not provided any details on the number of vacant seats. The last date for registration is July 15, 2025. In the second provisional admission list (Given in the 3rd allotment list), IIULER Goa had one of the highest numbers of students either rejecting the admission offer or upgrading their allotments.
The newly established NLU, RPNLU Prayagraj, has also invited applications from CLAT students to fill the vacant seats. The application opens on July 1, with the last day as July 07. The list of shortlisted students will be published on July 10, 2025. The registration form for RPNLU Prayagraj is available on the official website of the CLAT consortium.
