The Common Law Admission Test is the biggest law entrance exam in India. Every year thousands of students appear for the Common Law Admission Test for admission to 24 national law universities (NLUs). Apart from the NLUs, many private and government institutes also accept scores of CLAT exams for admissions. DU 5-year LLB admissions are also done through CLAT exam scores. Around 60,000 students appear for the CLAT exam each year. In CLAT 2025, a total of 62,832 students registered for the exam and a total 60,544 students appeared. Talking of CLAT 2024, total 54,808 candidates registered for the exam and out of which total 53,180 appeared.
